How to save energy is a critical issue these days. Due to the increasing use of energy resources in our daily routine, the surroundings are getting affected to a great extent. The resources which become consumed and depleted as we continuously keep them in use. They are referred to as non-renewable resources. The depletion of resources is an alarming situation as it would result in having nothing at the end. The solution to this may be simple in words, to harness energy requirements from renewable resources. But practically it may not be that simple. Proper alternatives have to be found and employed. The energy suppliers working with the idea of renewable resources are the green energy suppliers. Another more important solution is to save energy.

The term save energy refers to energy conservation which means to reduce the consumption of energy. When increased energy use is coupled with smart energy consumption then energy can be saved. The results for it are fruitful including increased financial capital, good quality environment, national and personal security, along with comfort. There are some individuals and organizations who are direct consumers of energy. To reduce their energy costs and to promote their economic security they choose to save energies. By the increased efficiency of using energy the commercial users can maximize their profit.

Generating energy requires our valuable natural resources including gas, oil or coal. Hence, using lesser energy will help us to preserve our resources. They will last longer and maximum gain will be ensured. If people save energy, lesser effort will be wasted on increasing the production of energy, like constructing some new power houses or importing energy. Often the energy level of all the everyday things has an impact on different routine processes. When considering the energy requirements of these products three phases are seen.

• Production

• Use

• End-of-life

We use many materials in our routine life; all influence environments one way or another. The lighter objects use less fuel to transport it. The same is for all the product packaging. Therefore, we can say that purchasing food covered in lightweight materials can thus help the environment. We can save energy in many ways if considered important in our lives. Some attitude change in people can help progress the idea of energy conservation by:

• Changing travelling modes.

• Using public transportation.

• Walking/riding a bicycle in place of a car.

• House heat reduction of 1°C.

• Closing the windows while heating is on.

• Warmly dressing instead of preferring heating.

• Turning off the unnecessary lights.

• Switching off the appliances not in use.

• Preventing stand-by mode on appliances.

• Using Energy Savers instead of filament bulbs.

• Re-using plastic bags for our different purposes.

• Re-heating food using a microwave in place of a stove.

• Using rechargeable batteries.

It is important to save energy for slowing up the process of climate change and preventing non-renewable resources from being used up. It is the most economical and environment-friendly solution to save energy that can compensate for energy shortages.
